In cadett ELSA R38 and earlier, text layers for text heights between 1.8 and 7.0 mm were available, as well as DEKOR layers for non-electrical information with linewidths between 0.18 and 0.70 mm.

In cadett ELSA R39, new layers for both thinner and thicker lines were added.

In a similar way, layers for texts and attributes with both smaller and bigger text heights were added.

The layers that were added are shown below, together with corresponding layers that existed before.

Please note that the stated text heights and line widths refer to printing in scale 1:1, in most cases A3. When printing A3 circuit diagrams on A4 paper, which is very common, the print scale is in fact one to the square root of two, or approximately 1:1.41. That means that the actual text heights and line widths are shifted one row upwards in the tables below. (For example, 3.5 mm text and 0.35 line width will end up as 2.5 mm text height and 0.25 mm line width when printed in that way).
