Control

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

The Control command is used to check the layers of the current drawing sheet and more.

The procedure is entirely controlled from the command line, as shown below.

1. LAYER CHECKING

Symbols containing attributes:79

On electrical layer .........:72

On decor layers .............:1

Others ......................:6

Check decor layers (DEKORS18 - DEKOR70) (Y/<N>):

The first pass of the control deals with symbols and layers. You will get a summary stating how many symbols with attributes that the drawing sheet contains, how many of them is placed on electrical layers, how many on décor layers, and how many on other layers.

If symbols are found on décor layers, you will get a question as shown above, whether you want to check those layers or not. If you have placed symbols on décor layers intentionally, answering No might sometimes be best.

Next, you will be asked symbol by symbol whether to move them to layer 0. Below, you will find an example of a dialogue like that.

Should the following symbols be moved to layer 0 (electric) ?

Symb: DC1 Ip: 0.00,0.00 Layer: BLANKETT. Move (Y/<N>):

Symb: REV1 Ip: 0.00,0.00 Layer: BLANKETT. Move (Y/<N>):

Symb: REV2 Ip: 0.00,0.00 Layer: BLANKETT. Move (Y/<N>):

Symb: REV3 Ip: 0.00,0.00 Layer: BLANKETT. Move (Y/<N>):

Symb: REV4 Ip: 0.00,0.00 Layer: BLANKETT. Move (Y/<N>):

Symb: SMOTOR3P Ip: 180.00,70.00 Layer: BLANKETT. Move (Y/<N>): y

In the example above, the DC and REV blocks are placed on layer BLANKETT, which they should be, as they are part of the drawing frame. Therefore, the questions about them are answered by No, so that they remain where they are.

However, a motor symbol has accidentally ended up on the same layer, which is incorrect. The question is therefore answered by Yes in that case, and the motor symbol is subsequently moved to layer 0.

The second pass of the control deals with asterisks in item designation of help and mirror symbols. This is an obsolete check that is not useful in the current version of cadett ELSA.

2. CHECKING ITEM DESIGNATIONS OF MIRRORS & HELP SYMBOLS

The third pass finds and removes potential reference symbols with empty potential reference names.

3. CHECKING AND REMOVING EMPTY CROSS REFERENCES

The fourth and final pass finds and removes empty wire-number symbols.

4. CHECKING AND REMOVING EMPTY ZERO-NUMBER SYMBOLS
