As described in the topic that describes the Data detailed view, resource categories are used to divide the resources in the catalogue in an appropriate way. The resource categories are divided into levels, like a tree, in an optional way. A complete example is included with cadett ELSA upon delivery, but it is free to expand, change or completely replace this arrangement.

 

To change the resource categories, select the Edit resource categories… command in the Module pull-down menu.

 

 

If you want to delete a resource category, first select it and then click the Delete button in the bottom of the dialogue box.

 

If you want to insert a resource category at the same level as the selected resource category, click the Insert button and then specify the new resource category. Remember that the code must contain the same number of characters as the "siblings" of the new resource category. (Siblings = individuals with the same parent i.e., at the same level and in the same branch in the tree). Furthermore, all characters in the code except the last must be equal to the ones of the siblings. Provide a suitable description and an equally suitable pre-selected wear group.

 

If you want to create a resource category that is at an underlying level i.e., as a "child" of the selected category, click the Insert child button and specify the resource category in the same way as described above.

 

Click OK to end the editing session.
