Refreshes the bitmaps (thumbnails) of selected symbols taking the true scale of the symbols into account. Attribute layers are frozen and turned off to create an optimal preview in the Symbol Insert Tool.

 

The need for this script sequence comes from shortcomings in AutoCAD when WBLOCK’s are created. The included thumbnail was previously often of poor quality, a problem that is solved with this script sequence.

 

Please note however, that in cadett ELSA R42 and later, newly created symbols do not have this problem. The updated Symbol Generator makes sure that the thumbnails have a proper quality. The script sequence is therefore only used to fix symbols that were created with older versions.
