This check-box controls if only exact matches should be translated. If you for example have defined the word “HELLO” in your lexicon and you try to translate a text containing “HELLO WORLD”, but the complete phrase is not a part of the lexicon, what should happen then?

 

If this option is checked, then nothing will be translated.

 

If, on the other hand, it is un-checked, then “HELLO” in “HELLO WORLD” would be translated. The result could be “HEJ WORLD”, if the translation were made to Swedish.

 

Please note that translations “word by word” may result in a very strange grammar, since the word sequence differ from language to language. A translation of complete phrases therefore in most cases gives a much better result.
