Here you choose how wires between two connection points on the same device should be numbered. Wires of that kind belong to connection type 1.

For wires of connection type 1, you can choose between any of the three numbering series that are defined in the Numbering series for wires section, or not to have these wires numbered at all.

The automatic wire numbering feature, utilises one or multiple numbering series, where start and step values, as well as a prefix, are fully configurable. To make it possible to clearly distinguish different connection types, you can use up to three numbering series in parallel. For instance, you can use one numbering series for wires between devices, and another one for wires to terminals.

You can choose between three available numbering series, or None, which means that wires of connection type 1 will not get any wire numbers at all.

The alternatives are described in the table below.

Option

Description

None

Wires of connection type 1 will not be numbered, meaning that the wire number will be left empty.

Series 1

Wires of connection type 1 will be numbered using numbering series 1, which is defined in the Numbering series for wires section, parameters Series 1 / Start value and Series 1 / Step value.

Series 2

Wires of connection type 1 will be numbered using numbering series 2, which is defined in the Numbering series for wires section, parameters Series 2 / Start value and Series 2 / Step value.

Series 3

Wires of connection type 1 will be numbered using numbering series 3, which is defined in the Numbering series for wires section, parameters Series 3 / Start value and Series 3 / Step value.
