Step value

Here you specify the step value for row numbering. The step shall always be numerical. If you want to count, A, B, C, D, E, F, and so forth, you should use a step value of 1. Even if you number the rows F, E, D, C, and so forth, the Step value is also 1.

 

This step value represents the arithmetic distance between two neighbouring rows. The step value is always a numerical value. If you work with letters as row designations, the step value is the alphabetical distance between two row designations. If you count A, B, C, and so forth the distance is 1, if you count A, C, E, and so forth the value is 2.

 

The Step value is always a numerical value, a positive integer.
