With cadett ELSA's Cabinet Layout Module you can create cabinet layout drawing sheets.

This module is made in such a way that it is possible to create the cabinet layout first of all, i.e. before the circuit diagram sheets have been created, last of all after the circuit diagram sheets have been created, or in parallel with the circuit diagrams.

When the cabinet layout is created after the circuit diagrams you can take particular advantage of the automatic functions, since you have then already specified which components are to be included in the project. In such a case the Cabinet Layout Module can automatically fetch the correct cabinet layout symbols so that you only have to place them correctly. This is made possible through a “pick list” where all devices are presented. You pick the desired devices in the list and the corresponding symbols are automatically inserted. Devices for which you have already inserted symbols will have special markings, so there will be no risk of missing anything. Item designations and cross-references will be handled automatically and OnLine.

The cabinet layout is used in an intelligent way by cadett ELSA. You are provided with cross-references in the cabinet layout that shows on which sheet, and where on that sheet, the corresponding circuit diagram main symbol is situated. Furthermore; the automatic wiring numbering function will use the cabinet layout in order to optimise the wiring. You also have the possibility to manually control the wiring using so-called location boxes in the cabinet layout, which will rearrange the priorities for the wiring.
