How to edit the list of mirrored attributes

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

You edit these settings in pretty much the same way as the composition of item designations and cross-references are edited. That means that you have a list of unselected attributes to the left, and a list of selected attributes to the right. You move attributes from one list to the other by selecting the attribute that you want to move, and then click the appropriate blue arrow button located between the two lists.

The attributes in the Available list to the left for each item designation type, are fetched from the attribute definitions for the Symbol Generator (the NSG001.INI configuration file located in the current symbol library, for instance \ELSA\SYMBOLE\IEC1082). It is, however, possible to add other, preferably user defined, attributes using the dedicated New button directly below the Available list. In the corresponding way, you can remove  attributes from the Available list with the dedicated Remove button to the right of the New button.

To avoid meaningless or even disastrous mirroring configurations, attributes belonging to the current item designation composition are filtered out. If you despite that assistance, manage to create a setting where an attribute that is part of the item designation composition is also mirrored, an error message would appear before the project parameters are saved, so that you can correct the error that would otherwise be very problematic.

In the right list below the Selected headline, the attributes that should be mirrored are shown. In the left list below the Available headline, the attributes that are currently not mirrored, but which could be, are listed. If you wish to remove an attribute from the list of selected attributes, you simply select the attribute in question and click the left-pointing blue arrow button. When you do that, the attribute in question is moved to the list of available attributes. In a corresponding way, you activate an attribute for mirroring by selecting it in the Available list and then clicking the right-pointing blue arrow button. When you do that, the selected attribute is moved from the Available list to the Selected list.
