An option named Automatic PDS enables a so-called “kick-back” from the PDS. If a change that is made in the Drawing Environment affects a device in the list, that change will be automatically and directly transferred to the list. No update, collect or similar is required. Changes of this kind will even be marked in the list, so that you notice them when they appear.
When PDS informs Dynamic OnLine II that a change has been made, Dynamic OnLine II will search the already loaded list for changes. How that proceeds is shown by the upper progress bar in the upper right corner.
