Activating user defined file types

The activation of user-defined file types is basically done via the mask file. Please refer to the Drawing frame and mask sub-topic, and more specifically the Support for user defined file types sub-topic of that.

 

However, it is possible to activate this support afterwards without having to update the mask file manually. Then the required change in the mask file simply takes place automatically.

 

The command to do that can be found in the Module pull-down menu. It is called Support for user-defined file types.

When you have activated this feature, there is no way of deactivating it. On the other hand, there will be no need to either.
