The Contacts>> button is available for mirror symbols only and will for them turn up in the position where the Connect.>> button otherwise resides.

The real purpose of the Contacts>> button is to insert function objects for mirror symbols. For contact mirrors, that means contacts, hence the labelling of the button. However, for PLC mirrors, the functions are instead I/O's, and for cable mirrors, the functions are cable cores. For the two latter, the labelling "contacts" must be regarded in a heavily generalised way not to be confusing.

Contact mirrors, PLC mirrors and cable mirrors are quite different. Therefore, the description that follows is split in three parts, depending on which kind of mirror you are creating.
