This value - the width of columns - is essential in order for the cross-references to be calculated correctly. The unit is millimetres. The value which you specify here should correspond to the drawing frame that you are using.

 

The value refers to the distance between corresponding points on neighbouring columns, i.e. the distance from the left edge of the first column, to the left edge of the second column.

 

Please note that all columns must have the same width.
