The Catalogue Import feature makes it easy and convenient to import external resource data to the Catalogue of cadett ELSA. Powerful functionality for seamless reimport is also available.

A typical use of this feature is to import catalogue data from suppliers or from internal data management systems, like Enterprise Resource Planning (EPS) systems.

The feature is general to such a degree that virtually any data can be imported. Supported file formats to import are text files, database files and Excel sheets. Any format that cannot be imported directly, can nevertheless be imported by first converting it to one of the supported formats.

The reimport feature makes it possible to import data for resources already present in the Catalogue, neither creating doublets, nor overwriting manually made additions or corrections in previously imported data, but still updating the database with any changes in the source of the data.
