Remove terminal number

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

There might sometimes be a reason to remove existing terminal numbers for certain terminals.

One reason for this might be to change the order between terminals before renumbering them. That is since, without terminal numbers, the order will be calculated differently and will therefore also be different.

If you have specified in the project parameters that terminal lists should be sorted according to numbering algorithm primarily, the order is primarily controlled by the terminal numbers. In other words, the old terminal numbers control the order, even for a completely new numbering. If you remove the old terminal numbers it is however instead the positions of the terminal symbols in the circuit diagram that will control the order, for good and for bad.

Please note that alternatively, you can specify in the project parameters that the positions of the terminal symbols in the circuit diagram should always control the order, regardless of whether terminal numbers exist or not.

Anyhow, you remove your terminal numbers by first selecting the terminals for which you want to perform this destructive operation, the terminals for which the terminal numbers should be removed. Please, do not forget that an empty selection is the same as all terminals! When you have done your selection, click the Empty button.

The terminal numbers for the selected terminals in the dialogue will then be emptied.

This change is transferred to the terminal list and to the circuit diagram with the OK button.
