The use of symbolic item designations can be either active or inactive, which is controlled by this check-box.

If the feature is deactivated, cadett ELSA will ignore the content of the symbolic item designation attribute (LABEL). The symbolic item designation then constitutes "dead" information.

If, on the other hand, the feature is activated, the symbolic item designation will be used to link main and help symbols to each other, in the absence of the fixed item designation, until that arrives. If both a symbolic and a fixed item designation exist in parallel, the fixed item designation has priority.
