If you activate this feature, cadett ELSA will no longer interpret an item designation written with a connection number part included, as an error, which otherwise would have been the case. This  opportunity is normally not used in conventional circuit diagrams, but could be useful for certain other document types.

 

 

The ”normal” setting for this is parameter is therefore deactivated.
