Long project name

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

The long project name identifies the project. It is the actual name of the project. Therefore, the long project name must be unique, meaning that there may newer exist more then one project with the same name.

The long project name may contain both upper and lower case letters. All characters are allowed, including national letters like å, ä and ö.

The maximum length of the long project name is 50 characters.

It is easy to change the long project name even after a project has been created. You simply enter the project parameters, change the long project name, and click the Ok button. As long as you enter a unique name, the change will take place immediately.

If, on the other hand, you enter a name that is already occupied, the entire Long project name field will turn red, as shown in the figure below. The red colour of course indicates that the name is incorrect.

Figure 263:  If you enter a long project name that is not unique, the entire field will be displayed in red, as shown here. That is an indication of a serious error that must be fixed.

A hint is displayed if you hover the cursor over the red icon with an exclamation mark that is displayed to the right of the red field. The figure below shows that hint.

Figure 264:  Move the cursor to the icon that is found to the right of the red field to display the hint that is shown here.

In such a case, simply enter another name, one that does not conflict with existing projects.
