The Attribute check-box determines if the connection point should have an editable connection point number stored in an attribute or not.

 

•If so, the connection point number that you specify will act as the default value for the attribute in which the connection point number will be stored.

 

•If not, the connection point number will be fixed and represented with a text in the symbol.
