Terminals without terminal number in the circuit diagram will in the terminal list be presented with a question mark as terminal number (”?”).
In the dialogue for re-numbering of terminals, the terminal number for such terminals will however be presented as empty, exactly the way that it really is.
The order in which terminals without terminal numbers are presented, is an interesting subject, which of course is of great importance when numbering them.
For terminals without terminal numbers, the order within the terminal group is initially controlled by their position in the circuit diagram. This, however, is calculated differently for vertical circuit diagrams and for horizontal ones.
•In a vertical circuit diagram, you primarily count from left to right, and secondarily from the top to the bottom. The terminal groups are in other words expected to go from left to right placed on vertical circuit lines.
•In a horizontal circuit diagram, you primarily count from the top to the bottom, and secondarily from left to right. The terminal groups are then expected to go from the top and down placed on horizontal circuit lines.
If a circuit diagram should be treated as vertical or horizontal, is decided by whether the Horizontal terminal numbering symbol is inserted in the drawing sheet or not.
