Limitations

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

References between projects are subject to two limitations. One refers to the cross-referencing between the potential reference symbols, the other to the connection (wire or cable core) that the reference symbolises. These two limitations are similar but in fact not connected at all. However, it is possible to summarize both limitations in one single rule:

"There can only be point-to-point connections between the sub-projects".

This means that it is prohibited to:

ohave wire chains that cross project boundaries, and

osub-nodes with more than two connection points crossing project boundaries.

Connections between sub-projects must therefore always constitute a direct connection between two connection points via a potential reference. Typically, that can be a cable, but wires are sup-ported as well.

In cadett ELSA Professional, reports can only be generated individually for each sub-project. Connections (wires and/or cables) between sub-projects will not be included.
