Delete a report definition

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

All report definitions may be deleted, local ones as well as central ones.

Please be careful when deleting report definitions! It may be a good idea to create a backup first.

This is how you delete report definitions:

First, select the report definition that you wish to delete. It is found under the Report definitions tab.

Press the Delete button in the toolbar in the lower part of the screen.

You will be asked whether you really want to delete the report definition, as illustrated in the figure below.

If you press OK, the selected report definition is deleted. You may abort the operation by pressing Cancel.

Please note that the only thing that is really deleted, is the selected report definition. Files that the report definition refers to – forms, databases, and so on – are kept intact.

Technical information

The report definition file (the REP file) and the reference to it in the database file REPORTS.DBF are deleted.
