The appearance V and H radio buttons can be used when creating new I/O's only. For existing I/O's, they have no effect.
There are two sets of function objects available for I/O's in PLC mirrors. One is called vertical and the other horizontal, but the difference in appearance is about much more than simply the orientation.
The horizontal option will give a result that is similar to the standard PLC mirrors of cadett ELSA, while the vertical option will result in a mirror that is more similar to vertical I/O symbols placed next to each other.
Please refer to the figures below.

The V and H radio buttons are used to specify whether the PLC mirror you are creating will be based on Vertical or Horizontal function objects. Please click the desired radio button, V for the vertical option or H for the horizontal. Please refer to the figures above, about what that really means!
A vertical PLC mirror is vertical in the sense that each channel is oriented vertically, in the same way as a horizontal PLC mirror is horizontal in the sense that each channel is oriented horizontally, like a row in a table. The latter configuration is typical for the standard PLC mirrors of the IEC1082 symbol library.
Figure 871: "Vertical" has been activated, which means I/O's in columns.
Figure 871: "Horizontal" has been activated, which means I/O's in rows.
