LANGS.DBF is the language definition database which defines the language names for the fields (columns) of the LEXICON database.

 

The language names are used in the drop-down lists where you specify which languages to translate from and to. Therefore, these names are important.

 

The LANGS.DBF is an xBase ANSI database. This fact means that the names of the languages must be spelled with our common alphabet. Other character sets, like Greek letters, Russian letters or similar, cannot be used for the language names.

 

In this example we assume a German user who prefer to name the languages in German.
