Complete renumbering keeping existing wire-number symbols

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

You can also perform a completely new wire-numbering, disregarding existing wire-numbers and existing wiring sequence, altogether. Any manual adjustments to the wiring sequence that you might have made earlier, will then be overwritten. This is very similar to the first automatic wire-numbering that is made in a newly created project. One important difference, however, is that existing wire-number symbols will be used, if they exist. In that way, manual adjustments to the positions of the wire-numbers themselves, will be kept. For example, if you have had a graphical conflict between wire-numbers and terminal numbers that you have solved by adjusting the positions of the wire-numbers, that adjustment will remain for the new wire-numbers that will be created.

To make a renumbering of the described type, you first must remove the old wire-numbering. For obvious reasons, this has intentionally been made a bit hard. After all, doing it by mistake should be avoided. Therefore, you first must activate the possibility to remove wire-numbers. This is done through the Module pull-down menu where you choose the Allow wire-numbers to be removed option.

A new button labelled Remove will then appear in the lower part of the screen, as shown in the figure above. If you click that button, you will first be asked if this is really what you want to do. If you answer both that question and the next one affirmatively, all wire-numbers in all drawing sheets will be removed, in the sense that the wire-number attributes will be emptied. If you then choose to wire-number, you will have a completely new wire-numbering without any consideration to previous wire-numbers or previous wiring sequence.
