Programmable I/O’s

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

The I/O’s that are covered by the PLC symbol library are either digital or analogue, and defined as either input or output. The purpose of these definitions is to facilitate the booking of I/O symbols for PLC mirrors.

So, how should programmable I/O’s that can be used as both input and output be handled?

The answer is that it does not really matter. The only thing that is important, is that you make a decision and stick to that. Either you treat them as input or as output. The only thing that really does matter, is that you are consistent!
