<< Click to Display Table of Contents >> Extended filename tab |
In this tab, user defined extended filename settings can be created and maintained.
With an extended filename setting, you can specify the filenames of the generated PDF files based on information either from the Drawing Manager, or from the drawing sheets themselves. If the information that you base the filenames on is equal for multiple sheets, those sheets will be part of the same PDF file. On the other hand, if the information that you base the filenames on varies, multiple PDF files will be created. In this way you can both control which filenames to use for the PDF files, and also split your project in multiple PDF files in any way that you prefer.
The standard filename setting that is specified in the Settings tab will be overridden if you use an extended filename setting.
If you do not want any extended filename setting to be applied, please select None in the drop-down list, as shown in the figure below.

Extended filename settings are based on statements, each one with a condition based on an operator, and a value that is added to the filename if the condition is true. Please refer to the Statements sub-topic for a detailed description of these statements, including how they are created, removed, rearranged, presented, and interpreted.
The sub-topics listed below contains a detailed description of the statements that extended filenames settings consists of, as well as descriptions of how you create and manage extended filename settings themselves.

•Using an existing extended filename setting
•Deleting an existing extended filename setting
